Waring has been nominated for several awards for her part as Cindy. ![]() Waring announced on 8 April 2024 that she had been axed from the soap as part of a revamp and that she had been assured Cindy would not be killed off. She returned to filming in January 2011 and returned to screens on 9 March 2011. In 2010, the character was temporarily written out for Waring's maternity leave. Waring reprised the role briefly in 20 before returning as a full-time character in June 2008, reintroduced by series producer Bryan Kirkwood.
